Amanda Barton

Business Department Head

As lead Business Attorney and head of the Business Transactional Department, Amanda Barton, oversees the entire business transactional division at The Law For All, P.A. With her vast array of experience in complex corporate matters, Amanda strongly focuses on corporate finance and regulatory compliance where her extensive knowledge of strategic business structuring, mergers and acquisitions, asset protection, business succession planning, and dispute resolution is second to none. Amanda also excels in the drafting and negotiation of a wide variety of legal documents, including, but not limited to, asset purchase agreements, corporate governing documents (including buy-sell agreements), joint venture agreements, franchise agreements, commercial leases, liability waivers, non-disclosure agreements, terms of use and privacy policies for sophisticated online and software companies, and various employment documents for employers.

Prior to joining The Law for All, P.A., Amanda served as senior in-house counsel for Knight Capital Funding, spearheading a legal department that leveraged technology, data analysis, and innovative resolution and recovery strategies. While at Knight Capital, she utilized her legal skills to assist a funding company with a highly sophisticated online platform that serviced customers throughout the United States. This unique opportunity allowed Amanda to further expand and hone her knowledge of the alternative finance and technology industries.

Prior to Knight Capital, Amanda served as in-house counsel to a private investment firm, where she handled all in-house transactions with an emphasis on? Debtor-in-Possession financing for companies in Chapter 11 Bankruptcy, secured lending transactions, and various aspects of municipal bond financing. As an active member of the Florida Bar, Amanda is admitted to practice in all U.S. District Courts and U.S. Bankruptcy Courts within the State of Florida.

After graduating from Stetson University with her Bachelor's degree in Sociology and a minor in English, Amanda earned her Juris Doctorate from Florida Coastal School of Law. While attending law school, Amanda was an active member of the Mock Trial team, voted "most enthusiastic" by her fellow members. She also represented underprivileged juveniles while volunteering as an intern with the Duval County Public Defender's Office.

In her personal life, Amanda volunteers her time by serving as President of the Broward County chapter of CannabisLAB, a networking and education group for professionals who are already involved, or are seeking to get involved, in the cannabis marketplace. Amanda is also very passionate about marine conservation and spends much of her personal time scuba diving, snorkeling, and enjoying nature.
